Feb 1, 2006: A TripAdvisor Member, NICE FRANCE
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Clean, Courteous, and Secure"

Upon my arrival at the Hotel Anfiteatro Flavio, I was very pleases with how clean the
rooms were. Ive stayed at many hotels over the years and this has got to be the best I've ever
seen. The staff of this hotel always greeted me with a smile, always saying hello and goodbye
with the upmost respect, this means alot to me. The dinning area where we had our complimentary
breakfast was also staffed with polite and courteous employees. When picking a hotel, you never
know what you are get till you arrive. The was very pleased with the security measures they have
in place, including front gate with buzz in front front desk. We also had a very secure safe in
our room, so it gave you piece of mind when you decided to depart for the day. Also we would
leave our key at front desk. this was nice because we wouldnt have to worry about loosing it in
our daily sightseeing. Speaking about sightseeing, this hotel location couldnt have been better,
we could see the Colosseum down the street from hotel, about a 10 min walk, and various stores
were right accross the street. Just up the stret was the main street where you could catch the
bus, or shop, atm machines also were near by, this was very convenient for me. When I return to
Rome, this will be my hotel of choice.

Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Fabulous Find"

We stayed at this hotel on the first leg of our 6 week holiday. Having heard
a lot about hotels in Europe I was very apprehensive about the ones we had
booked. Travelling as a foursome, (2 adults, 2 grown children) we needed
a family room and received just that. The room was neat, clean, tidy and
very, very nice - the price was a bonus. We were located on the first floor
and had 2 windows opening out onto Via dei Serpenti. The hotel is within
walking distance to major shopping, sights (with the Colloseum at the end
of the street, in full view). Breakfast is plentiful and the staff are ALL
very helpful, over and above. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who
wants a top quality place to stay at a very reasonable price.
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "A great haven in the
centro storico"

Having spent 8 years living in Rome, we know the Centro Storico well - this
hotel is a great internet find, with appropriate pricing for the practical
and spotless rooms. Though opened a couple of years back, you would have
thought that it was only about six months after refurbishment. Colors are
muted, there is heating, AC, small fridge and the beds are really comfortable.
The staff is charming, friendly, helpful and very, very knowledgeable. The
continental breakfast is more substantial than usual in a hotel of this
category and the waiting staff are delightful. Situated in the getting trendier
Via dei Serpenti, you are well-placed to walk all over Rome and surrounded
by some excellent restaurants offering a wide ethnicity of cuisines, unusual
for other areas in Rome). This is a find and we will definitely be staying
again. Thanks to Alessia and her staff for having made a welcoming atmosphere.
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Small, friendly, ideally situated"

We have just returned from our first visit to Rome, staying in this hotel.
We went with some apprehension as some reviews we read were not wholly satisfactory.
However, we were totally satisfied and felt that some of the reviews did
not give a true picture. Yes, the rooms are perhaps on the small side, but
they are clean and comfortable having recently been refurbished. The staff
are extremely helpful and friendly. They cannot do enough to please. The
hotel arranged for a taxi to pick up at the airport (50 Euro) which proved
a bonus as we arrived after midnight. The situation is perfect - all places
of interest are within 10 - 30min walking distance. You may have some difficulty
in locating the hotel as there is no sign for it. Number 130 though is clearly
marked on the wall!! We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this
hotel to you, and we look forward to a further visit ourselves.

Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Nice small hotel. Great location"
Nov 21, 2005: Buchholz
My wife and I just came back from Rome, where we spent 4 beatiful days.
We reserved Hotel Anfiteatro Flavio having a good price through the agency
reservationitaly.com. The hotel has a small entrance without sign, so we
have had difficulty in finding the hotel. Anyway, we found it and we were
pleased to be welcomed by very friendly people. The room we got were very
nice and clean. I think newly restored. The location is the middle of everything.
There are many nice restaurants and pubs near the hotel and the atmosphere
were very nice. Ursula and I recommend Anfiteatro Flavio. Tschus
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!"

This was our first trip to Roma and I have to say without the kind and courteous
assistance from the staff at our hotel we may have not had such an enjoyable
experience. The room was smaller but had a private bath in room that was
updated and always clean, television, desk, safe and air conditioning. This
is not the fanciest hotel in Roma but if you want an affordable, authentic
experience then this is the place to stay. I wasn't looking forward to going
swimming or sitting in a hot tub when I was visiting Roma! The Colloseum
is viewable right from the front door of the hotel literally two blocks
away (Awesome Photo). Everything you need is right across from the hotel
including, Pizza, Wine Bar and dont forget the Gelateria! A couple of steps
away is a "square" with fountain and restaurants with outdoor seating (great
place to relax). The hotel is literally 15-20minute walking to Trevi fountain
and Spanish steps, 5 Minutes to the Colosseo and Roman Forum. I cant express
enough how friendly and informative the staff is and what a great location
this hotel is. Definetly worth checking out!
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Excellent Location"

For first timers to Rome we found this hotel very well located. All of the
main attractions in ancient Rome were within 20 minutes walk. The Vatican
is further but the No 64 Bus is close by and will get you there in 20 minutes.
The manager (who speaks 5 languages) and her team were most pleasant and
helpful with our many enquiries. The rooms have recently been refurbished
and as far as Italy goes were value for money.
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Very nice!"
Jun 15, 2005: Munich, Germany
We found ourselves in a bind and had to stay overnight in Rome. Although
we only stayed for one night, I must say our stay at the Anfiteatro Flavio
was very pleasant. They were able to accomodate our party of 5 at last minute
notice and the room was tip top! The receptionist was very helpful and very
lovely. She explained everything to us and spoke very good English. We had
a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone
wanting to stay in Rome. Besides being a very nice hotel, it is also a short
walk to the Colosseum. Thanks Hotel Anfiteatro Flavio and keep up the great
work!!
Rome: Anfiteatro Flavio: "Very satisfied customers!!"

My family really enjoyed the service and support we received at Anfiteatro
Flavio during our two week holiday in March, our 2 small boys ages 4 & 8
were very happy and felt like they were special guests. The housekeeping
staff were just adorable to them and by the second half of our trip my 4
year old would give and recieve kisses on the cheek everytime he saw them.
One of the women on the breakfast detail saved my 4 year old a chocolate
roll every morning and often sent one to the room when he did not wake up
in time for breakfast. My children were able to learn quite a bit of Italian
as the staff took time to say things slowly and let them try to repeat it
back to them. I found that most of the staff spoke enough english to help
out my family members who spoke none. I was treated very respectfully throughout
my entire time there and will be very happy to return soon on a more romantic
trip in which I plan to bring my husband and leave my mother and children
at home. I would definetly recommend this hotel to young couples with small
children. Rome is a wonderful place and the locals love to see children
but I would say my hotel went above and beyond to accomodate my family.
Thanks
